Announced dates for academic matters are fixed a year in advance and are unlikely to change after that time. They may differ from the regular UND summer session. Other dates are more flexible, and may change even during the summer session.

*At the beginning of the summer, early arrivals (before Saturday) to the dormitory can sometimes be accommodated; please check with us before making travel plans (see contact info). At the end of the summer, late departures are sometimes possible (delays up to about 24 hours); again, please make arrangements with us ahead of time. If you arrive early or leave late, your help with setting up and closing down the program will be expected.

**Due to the intensive nature of summer courses, late arrivals, early departures, and other absences (those that would require you to miss orientation/registration or regularly-scheduled classes) are strongly discouraged and may result in late fees or grade penalties. Please discuss any planned absences with the SIL-UND director, who will facilitate discussions with the relevant course instructors. In general, absences due only to travel arrangements (e.g. tickets that you have already bought) will not be excused.
